Zachary Jones made a strong debut showing when he faced John Lamia at Fight For It 7. Jones — who fights out of Forged Fitness — showed a disciplined approach to the bout, picking his shots carefully, and using his traditional martial arts background to score some thudding spinning kicks on Lamia. But the Gym-O trained Lamia kept the pressure on Jones, with thudding low kicks and strong ringcraft. In the end, the judges awarded the split decision to Jones, now 1-0 with 3 points in the 2019 Fight For It MMA Grand Prix. Lamia falls to 1-1.
