Shayaan Khokhar and Omar Reade, both experienced amateur kickboxers, spent three rounds at Fight For It VIII trading technical combos at range, deftly avoiding the clinch, and earning solid marks from the judges.
Ultimately, it was Khokhar who earned the split decision, having shown a more aggressive, yet composed, approach in this fight. Where previously, he’d shown himself to be an agile switch-hitter, here, Khokhar seemed more ready to stand in the pocket and march his man down. On the counter, Reade controlled space and fired back with shots of his own, but couldn’t quell Khokhar’s momentum.
