Zachary Thrift came into his bout with Allen Jackson looking to redeem a split-decision loss in his own debut, at Fight For It VI. The debuting Jackson proved eager to brawl, however, and showed an acumen for infighting as he chipped away at Thrift in the clinch.
But it was Thrift who used a significant reach advantage to smother the clinches with sharp knees and overhand punches, and landed more shots at range, who took the unanimous decision win. He balances his record at 1-1, while Jackson starts his kickboxing career at 0-1.
