Title Fight: Ryan Taylor and Brandon Rollins battle for Kickboxing glory at Fight For It XV

When Ryan Taylor enters the ring at Fight For It XV, he’ll be the second member of his household to make the walk that night. Fighting on the youth undercard, Mason Taylor will have an opportunity to set the stage for his dad. Ryan Taylor will have the challenge — and motivation — to prove himself to his son.

Taylor might just need that extra bit of determination to carry him in this title bout against Brandon Rollins. Rollins enters the fight with the advantages of experience, speed, punching power, range, and mobility. But Taylor earned his shot at the belt with determination and impressive endurance that could turn the tables later in the fight.

Rollins’ impressive skill set makes him a formidable opponent in any fight. With his ability to deliver devastating strikes from long distance, Rollins can keep his opponents at bay while unleashing his offensive arsenal. His speed and mobility enable him to dictate the pace of the fight and create openings to capitalize on.

Taylor’s strengths, on the other hand, lie in his determination and exceptional endurance. Known for his relentless pursuit, Taylor never backs down from a challenge. His tenacity fuels his ability to push the pace and outwork his opponents. By maintain a high level of activity throughout each round, Taylor has the potential to wear down his adversary in the later rounds.

This is precisely where Rollins has shown vulnerability in the past. Despite Rollins’ talents, if he tires in the later rounds, it could be the weakness in his armor that allows Taylor turn the tide of the fight in his favor. Taylor will need to apply constant pressure and find openings in Rollins’ defense — all while pushing the pace into the extended rounds that come with championship bouts.

With Mason in his corner, Taylor should look for the added motivation to deliver the mental edge needed to push beyond his limits and achieve victory.

While Rollins appears to have the advantage on paper, Taylor’s determination and endurance, coupled with his internal drive, can make this fight much closer than expected. Taylor will need to dig deep within himself, tapping into unexplored reservoirs of mental and physical strength, to challenge Rollins and secure the victory.
