Xavier Poole earns victory over Landon Bush with steady counter attacks under pressure

Both Landon Bush and Xavier Poole came to Fight For It XI looking to balance the 0-1 records they earned back at Fight For It VIII in 2019. (Bush lost to Duece Carter, while Poole lost to Brent Williams.) And from the early going, Bush seemed intent on keeping pressure on Poole, walking him down with flurries.

But on the back foot, Poole proved calm under pressure and soon found his rhythm with crisp counter punches that wore on Bush as the rounds progressed.

By the third round, Bush seemed to be feeling the effects of his high output and the steady attrition of Poole’s counters. Despite taking some heavy blows, Poole took control of most of the later exchanges. In the end, the judges awarded their decision to Poole, who moves to 1-1, while Bush slides to 0-2.
