After a bout planned for Fight For It XI was cancelled, Kahlil Pettiford of Elevate MMA will finally make his debut upon the Fight For It stage to face off against FFI veteran Garrett Rosenbaum, of Atlantic MMA. Pettiford’s team at Elevate MMA, under the leadership of Cody Maltais, has proven its indomitable prowess across styles and disciplines. While they are predominantly known for their grappling skills, they have also produced a handful of heavy hitters. Pettiford may well be their next rising star.
On paper, Rosenbaum’s record shows that the fighter has struggled in his early outings. He suffered a TKO loss via leg kicks in his last kickboxing bout, and was also stopped in the first two rounds of both his MMA fights. But experience is valuable, no matter the outcome. And against a debuting fighter, Rosenbaum has a well of wisdom from which to draw. It will be interesting to see if that experience in his back pocket has enabled him to make the much needed changes to his game as he looks to finally secure the W he has been chasing.
