Former Amateur Champion JJ Brantley to make Pro Debut vs Martin at Fight for It 7

Dreon Martin had a rocky start to his professional MMA career, with three submission losses in a row between 2015 and 2017. But the featherweight out of Martinsville Fight Club in Martinsville, VA, scored a decisive victory with his second round TKO over Kevin Schroder last year. He’ll be looking to carry that momentum forward against the debuting JJ Brantley.

But Brantley, who returns to the cage after several years, has a mighty legacy already as Elite Championship Cagefighting’s former amateur featherweight and lightweight champion. With an 8-1 amateur record and his only loss coming by way of a narrow decision in a kickboxing match, Brantley was at one time one of NC’s hottest prospects. Having recently moved back to North Carolina, where he started training at Gym-O, Brantley is back in fighting trim and ready for a return to competition with his pro debut.
