Fight for It is set to return to Rock Hill, SC, on September 14th, bringing a thrilling night of combat sports to the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center. Among the evening’s most anticipated bouts is a heated contest for the Amateur Lightweight Title, with two top-ranked fighters vying for the prestigious Champion of the Carolinas title.
Pais vs. Reddick
One of the most eagerly awaited matchups of the night pits two rising stars in the amateur MMA scene against each other, with the 155lb title on the line.
Jacob “El Tortuga” Pais, representing MMA Greensboro, boasts an impressive amateur record of 5-1. Standing at 5’11”, Pais is known for his resilience and finishing power, with 80% of his victories coming by way of finish, including three first-round stoppages. Currently on a 3-fight win streak, Pais holds the FFI Amateur MMA title and is the top-ranked lightweight among 34 active North Carolina amateurs.
Facing him is Dee “The Revenant” Reddick, a fierce competitor from Modern Warrior. Also standing at 5’11”, Reddick enters the cage with an undefeated record of 5-0. While only two of his wins have come by finish, Reddick’s relentless aggression and tactical prowess have earned him the number one spot among 51 active South Carolina Amateur Lightweights.
This matchup has been fueled by intense rivalry and trash talk, adding to the anticipation surrounding the bout. With the title of Champion of the Carolinas on the line, both fighters are expected to bring their best to the cage in what promises to be an electrifying showdown.
