Making his professional MMA debut against Zac Dalen (1-0), Bryan “Pooh Bear” Battle dove headlong into the longer rounds and more varied striking arsenal pro rules allow. Despite eating some crisp shots from Dalen, including a lip-splitting knee in the second round, Battle showed dominant grappling against the cage and threatened constantly with suffocating clinch work and attacks from the back. The effort earned Battle the judges’ decision, starting his pro career off with a big win, while Dalen balances the ledger at 1-1.
