Billy Jack Cupp handed Joshua Alston his first loss inside the cage with a second-round triangle choke. Alston put the pressure on Cupp from the opening bell, landing takedowns at will and keeping a heavy barrage of ground and pound coming, but Cupp’s tricky jiu-jitsu won the day as he attacked the triangle choke from guard, forcing the previously undefeated wrestler to tap two minutes into the second round. Alston puts his first notch in the loss column, for a total record of 3-1, while Cupp moves to 6-3, and adds another 5 points in the 2019 Fight For It MMA Grand Prix for a total of 11.
